DR. CLETUS BAKO SHURKUK LEADS COURTESY VISIT TO THE GBONG GWOM JOS ON THE 13TH NATIONAL COUNCIL ON COMMUNICATIONS, INNOVATION AND DIGITAL ECONOMY (NCCIDE)

The Honourable Commissioner for Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr. Cletus Bako Shurkuk, Yesterday led members of the Council of the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy on a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness, Da Jacob Gyang Buba, the Gbong Gwom Jos and Chairman of the Plateau State Joint Traditional Council. The delegation also included the Federal Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Abuja, Engr. Nadungu Gagare (FNIAE, FNSE), who joined Dr. Shurkuk in briefing the Royal Father on the ongoing 13th National Council on Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy (NCCIDE). This year’s council meeting is themed: “Accelerating Inclusive Digital Transformation: Bridging Gaps and Fostering Sustainable Growth Through Innovation.” During the visit, Dr. Shurkuk highlighted the significance of the conference in advancing Nigeria’s digital agenda, promoting innovation, and strengthening partnerships that enhance inclusivity across all sectors. He appreciated the support of traditional institutions in fostering community-based digital awareness and development. His Royal Highness, Da Jacob Gyang Buba, welcomed the delegation warmly and commended the Ministry of science, Technology and Innovation, Ministry of Information & communication and the Plateau State Government for hosting such a strategic national engagement. He emphasized the importance of digital transformation in driving economic growth, empowering youth, and positioning Nigeria competitively in the global digital landscape. The courtesy visit marks an important step towards a success of hosting the 13th NCCIDE as Plateau State continues to champion innovation, inclusivity, and sustainable development in our country.
