HON. DR. CLETUS BAKO SHURKUK UNDERSCORES GOVERNMENT’S COMMITMENT TO EDUCATION AND EMPOWERMENT IN PANKSHIN 27th February, 2026.

The Honourable Commissioner for Science, Technology and Innovation, Hon. Dr. Cletus Bako Shurkuk attend matriculation ceremony of newly admitted students at the College of Health Technology, Pankshin, where he congratulated the students and encouraged them to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to excellence in their academic pursuits. He emphasized the importance of quality health education in strengthening the state’s healthcare system and building a productive society. The Commissioner reiterated that the administration of His Excellency, Caleb Mutfwang, remains dedicated to investing in education, science, and innovation as key pillars of development under the “Time is Now” agenda. The Hon. Commissioner also witnessed the distribution of 250 economic trees to widows in Pankshin LGA. He commended the Plateau State Ministry of agriculture for the initiative, noting that empowering widows with income-generating agricultural resources aligns with the state government’s vision of making Plateau greener while improving livelihoods at the grassroots level. The trees shared are Pea, mango, and olive seedlings which were distributed by the Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture, Hon.Samson Bugama, as part of efforts to promote environmental sustainability and economic empowerment.
